Linden Hall Golf & Country Club

We went on a mini break recently to Linden Hall in Northumberland. It's a beautiful Macdonald hotel with a very nice spa and surrounded by an 18 hole golf course. We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal and ate in the double AA rosette Dobson Restaurant both nights which demonstrates fine dining at its best. The food was beautiful and served in a very quiet and very high end drawing room. One is addressed as Sir and Madame in an establishment like this. Anyway if fine dining is not your cup of tea you can eat and drink in the Linden Tree Pub on site which is much more down to earth. This is where we watched the Gold Cup with two pints of the finest black stuff. This is what a day off work looks like to me.
