Roses Tea Rooms Review

This little gem of a place used to be located in Heswall village and was very popular for its afternoon tea. Roses Tea Rooms have since moved to the fabulous location of Ness Gardens and I went last weekend with my mum for lunch. I love places like this. The type of place you could take your Nan. Roses Tea Rooms is based in the entrance hall to Ness Gardens and I expect is bringing a lot of visitors to what is usually a venue only really popular in the summer time. The Tea Room actually takes up a really big space in the foyer and is full of quaint little tables for two or four with a rose and a menu on each one. They offer a very full and impressive tea menu with everything from Assam and Earl Grey to herbal teas which are served in a pot with loose leaves and a strainer. The lunch menu is also very generous and includes soup and a sandwich for £6.50 which we both chose. As we sat down it looked very busy with most tables taken but the waitresses were very quick to come over, take and serve our order. This is a very quaint place to lunch and rivals the cafe at nearby Gordale. Perfect for a lunch date with your Nan. Or anyone else who likes all things floral and vintage.
