Disappointed in the Dragon

Every time I go to the supermarket I peruse the exotic fruit section and read the names of the different items in stock partly to educate myself but also because I love the colours. I've been looking at the dragon fruit for a while now and it was only after watching Lorraine Pascale cutting up a dragon fruit on Baking Made Easy that I decided to take the plunge.

I was planning on eating it with a kiwi and strawberry fruit salad. Unfortunately the dragon fruit did not make the cut as it tasted so plain. I was expecting something really exotic tasting...but there was no kick. Disappointing. And it looked so pretty on the inside!
